I am both flattered and touched that the denizens of my former hangout at the Star News forums miss me and want to come here to continue the conversation. I am not terribly fond of the idea of opening this to comments, but have decided to do it in the most restrictive way, to members of the blog only.
That means you have to send me an email, at bellsouth net, removing all the spaces of course, and I will then send you an invitation to become a member. You will get an invitation email with a link in it, and it seems to be pretty self-explanatory from there.
I just played around with it a little bit and it seems kind of annoying - you have to set up a Google account in order to accept the invitation to participate in the blog. It walks you through the process so it's not too much trouble, but some people do object to some of Google's privacy-invading policies.
Anyway, we'll see if anyone wants to be a guinea pig.

FloLake Is present & hopefully accounted for. I had forgotten how onerous it can seem to navigate these blogs, including my own.
I do appreciate the opportunity of being allowed to participate in Bella's blog.
The thoughts of losing touch with the "comma doctor" was depressing me & making me physically ill.
I am starting to feel a lot better.

This is great, Flo - as you see, the Goat has joined us as well. I don't promise lots if interesting dialog constantly, but this is where I will vent and those who wish to keep up with that know where to look.
I'm still having technical problems with the comment area showing up on all the posts, but at least it did on this one.

I am sorry that I have not been as frequent a visitor as I would like. I don't know if my personal computer has a case of the piles or if it needs the "C" drive wiped clean/reformatted again; or what. In either event, I must do something & I must do it soon as my PC is moving at a snail's pace.
Good to see Goat has made it here as well. Makes me ponder as to where everyone else is...
That "other place" is fading fast as many of us predicted.
Looking forward to coming back just as soon as I begin & finally fixing whatever ails my mess.

Thanks Flo! Glad to see you made it back. I haven't even glanced at the Star News forums in almost a week, just didn't see much else there to care about.
I'm trying to post on a variety of things here, just to see if I can keep it going. It's funny how there's suddenly pressure to think about stuff when it's mine instead of just posting about whatever's there on other sites. I've had very interesting visitors, thanks to the AOL and CBS links to the big hawg post.
